This was a quick sketch done from the posed model that was different from the view I was painting. I finished out the sketch after the session working from photos. I have enough information to probably do a nice portrait. The last day of Spring vacation I was able to get in a little painting time with Liv. (First time using the big palette) I gave her the idea for the flower pot, her idea to add the big yellow Ladybug. Fun!

Where Does The Time Go?
It flies, and so many things stack up like a pile of paintings I put aside to gesso some day. I rescued this one for a second look. I didn't remember it and then I saw I was looking at it upside down. It has possibilities I think..... Is it a keeper or not?
Olivia and Hudson
The other part of the story is my extended family has been traveling a lot and I have picked up some of the slack in child care for the Grands. Setting up a table with watercolors, paper, and nice paint brushes is a treat for all of us. I can still learn a thing or two about painting from them..... Amazing!

Up the River - Multnomah Falls
On the way back, the light was so golden, I stopped at Multnomah falls and dashed off an hour sketch from the parking lot. Insert is a closer view of the bridge I was focused on complete with pedestrians. Click on image for enlargement.

Sometimes when Olivia starts painting with me she decides to help me paint on my paper rather than her own. I think it is her desire to get more control of the medium. She's come a long way I think since this early "Collaboration." I enjoy my refrigerator gallery every day. Thanks Liv!
