Go a new sketch book yesterday so I thought it should be Christened-nothing to scarey even if it is Halloween. Just some doodlings (Pitt Pen) and then some water soluble crayons. These crayons are my favorite tool for doodles and journaling.
Mimi, I take color off the crayon with a wet brush and then apply to dry or pre-dappened paper. Sometimes I draw on damp paper and the blend it out with a damp brush a little more.
ME TOO! I've made a note. Next art store trip, they are on my list. Compact package as well. I like any medium that is right for quick sketching. I like your journal opening page as well; very nice free association.
Hi Carrie, What a festive, colorful cover for your sketch book! Mine never looks so interesting. I do like the Pitt pens and you draw a graceful line with them. This sketchbook would certainly be jazzy to look at every day!
I recognize those Caran D'ache crayons. do you wet them while you use them for journaling?
ReplyDeletethat's a wonderful cover for your new sketchbook.
ps if you allowed "name/url" I could put a link to my own blog in the comments field
