This was a quick sketch done from the posed model that was different from the view I was painting. I finished out the sketch after the session working from photos. I have enough information to probably do a nice portrait. The last day of Spring vacation I was able to get in a little painting time with Liv. (First time using the big palette) I gave her the idea for the flower pot, her idea to add the big yellow Ladybug. Fun!

Is Liv your daughter, Carrie? I was thinking you had a son (I remember him painting on your window, don't I?)...Not that you can't have a son and a daughter...Oy. I'll just stop...
ReplyDeleteThe portrait sketch is so lovely. I wish I could work from life but I just work too slowly and the left brain gets too involved in the process. By the way, Liv has hair like mine.
Hi Sherry, It might be easier to have you search the tag, or the blog for 'Olivia',my g.niece. Thanks for commenting.
ReplyDeleteNICE drawing, Carrie. I especially like how it is cropped.
ReplyDeleteCarrie,
ReplyDeleteDo you mind if I put your blog on mine as a link? Would you return the favor?
