I See the Error in My Ways

I'm still digging through old paintings, there are tons of them. An old graphics artist friend from home once told me never to throw out my old work because you just never know.  I don't know if he meant old crappy paintings but none the less, I pile them up.  I already put several hours in this but put it aside. Now I think I see my drawing errors and I think it isn't that far from being finished.  I'll let you know how it turns out.

  1. With the exception of her right eye, I think this is one phenomenal watercolor portrait, Carrie! I don't see anything that needs finishing here other than the one iris. Beautiful! Thank you too for your kind words and thoughtfulness. I appreciate it so much.

  2. --My experience with re-visiting an old painting tells me that you have a 50-50 chance! haha---It is a really good portrait. I like how her head fits the space at an angle. Great colors and expression.

  5. I paused on this because I like it and was surprised you consider this so flawed. The eye is a quick fix. I love her lips and the whole feel of this. Great composition with her leaning in and to the side. :)
